Airport Transfer vs Taxi vs Ride-Hailing
These options can all get you from an airport to your destination, but the booking process and experience can differ.
Pre-booked airport transfer
Arranged before arrival with your pickup and destination entered in advance. This can be convenient when you want your airport journey organised before the flight.
Airport taxi
Usually arranged after arrival from an authorised taxi service or designated airport taxi area. Availability, pricing methods and procedures vary between airports.
Ride-hailing
App-based services can offer flexible booking after landing. Availability and airport pickup locations depend on the destination, and prices can vary according to demand.
Public transport
Some airports have rail, bus or other public transport connections. These may suit travellers whose destination is close to the route, while door-to-door transport may be more convenient for others.
Why Book an Airport Transfer in Advance?
Pre-booking gives you time to consider your journey before arriving somewhere unfamiliar.
Plan around your flight
Enter your flight and arrival details where requested so the booking can be planned around your journey.
Choose a suitable vehicle
Compare available vehicle options while considering passenger numbers and the amount of luggage you are carrying.
Plan door-to-door travel
Search for transport from your arrival airport towards your hotel or destination instead of arranging everything after landing.
